The City is looking for five citizens to sit on the new City Council Composition Review Committee. The deadline for applications/nominations has been extended to Aug. 28.

This Special Purpose Committee will review  the composition of City Council and the ward system, and consider the review of ward boundaries if applicable and necessary.

Five citizens will be appointed with the following areas of expertise:

•   Legal background and an understanding of the municipal legislation

•   A background or field of study in political science

•   A background or experience in the labour movement as a member or representative

•   Experience in the field of communications and citizen engagement

All applicants must have the ability to work in a collaborative setting with a group of individuals from a variety of sectors.

Nominations or applications must be in writing on the approved forms and addressed to Krista Power, City Clerk. Forms are available at the Office of the City Clerk on the first floor of City Hall, or online at: www.thunderbay.ca/CommitteesAndBoards

The City is unable to accept applications after the deadline date.
