NOVEMBER 2018

WHEREAS, the Government of Canada, through the office of Canada’s Financial Literacy Reader and the Financial Consumer Agenda of Canada, has designated November as Financial Literacy Month; and

WHEREAS, an understanding of personal banking and finance is an important life skill for young people, including those living in Northern Ontario; and

WHEREAS, Northern Credit Union is committed to serving the needs of northern communities, including developing and delivering financial literacy programs for young people, particularly during the month of November.

NOW THEREFORE, I, Keith Hobbs, Mayor of the City of Thunder Bay, do hereby proclaim the month of November 2018 as Financial Literacy Month in the City of Thunder Bay.
