The City of Thunder Bay’s Live on the Waterfront concert series, presented by Ontario Power Generation, begins this Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at 6 pm at Marina Park. Admission to all concerts is free.
This series offers a unique summer experience, bringing the community together to enjoy a diverse line-up of musicians, showcasing both local and Canadian talent. Live on the Waterfront begins this Wednesday, July 17, 2024 with by Cold Lake Sun, The Sensational Hot Rods and Daniel Romano’s Outfit.
6:00 pm: Cold Lake Sun is a five piece indie-alternative band, specializing in tightly crafted, upbeat, happy/sad-guitary-synthy-reverby-songs with a distinctively new wave / dreampop flavour.
7:00 pm: The Sensational Hot Rods are a group of talented performers who replicate the sounds of the fabulous 50s.
8:00 pm: Daniel Romano's Outfit is a Canadian indie rock band known for their high-intensity live performances.
“Each performance will offer something unique and provide a fantastic way to spend a Wednesday evening,” said Karen Kadolph, Special Events Developer. “We will have a variety of food vendors, artisans, community groups, outdoor games and crafts available each night as well.”
Live on the Waterfront has been recognized as one of Ontario’s Top 100 events by Festivals & Events Ontario and will surely be a highlight of the summer, ensuring a high-quality and enjoyable experience for all attendees.
A reminder that paid parking is now in effect at Marina Park. The community is encouraged to carpool, use public transit, or opt for an active transportation option such as walking or biking to make their visit more eco-friendly and to avoid parking fees.
