"I appreciate the extra efforts of City Council over the past couple of months and, in particular, acknowledge those members of Council who stepped in to assist with mayoral duties during my absence," said Mayor Hobbs. "I have been keeping abreast of City issues and look forward to resuming my commitment to work on behalf of the residents of Thunder Bay."
A member of Council can be absent from their public duties for up to three months before their seat can be declared vacant.
