MAY 4-10, 2020

WHEREAS, the Elizabeth Fry Society of Northwestern Ontario is dedicated to providing practical assistance and supportive services that address the needs and circumstances of women in conflict with the law and those who are at risk of becoming in conflict with the law; and

WHEREAS, the Elizabeth Fry Society of Northwestern Ontario is celebrating 17 years of service delivery in the City of Thunder Bay; and

WHEREAS, National Elizabeth Fry Week is celebrated nationally by Elizabeth Fry Societies across the country with the common goal of raising public awareness of the circumstances of women involved in the criminal justice system; and

WHEREAS, the Elizabeth Fry Society of Northwestern Ontario is promoting National Elizabeth Fry Week locally

NOW THEREFORE, I, Bill Mauro, Mayor of the City of Thunder Bay, do hereby proclaim the week of May 4-10, 2020 as Elizabeth Fry Week in the City of Thunder Bay.
