Neighbour Day is an opportunity to bring people together and make a positive impact in the community. The City’s fourth annual Neighbour Day will take place Saturday, Sept. 23.

Community members are encouraged to host events and activities that promote kindness, friendship and inclusivity. From building on existing traditions or starting new ones, Neighbour Day creates a stronger sense of belonging. Resources are available online at thunderbay.ca/neighbourday to help plan your event, including tips and tools for planning a Neighbour Day activity. To enhance the day, there will be a self-guided neighbourhood scavenger hunt and a social media contest.

Many community organizations are hosting events in celebration of Neighbour Day, including:

  • Neighbour Day Car Show & BBQ event at the Thunder Bay 55 Plus Centre | Saturday, Sept. 23
  • Complete your own Neighbour Day Scavenger Hunt and be entered to win a prize from the Waterfront BIA – open the month of September! Find on social media or at your local library.
