January 13, 2015 - New traffic signals at two Thunder Bay intersections will be activated the morning of Wednesday, Jan. 14 at approximately 10 am.

The new signals are located at the intersections of Valley Street and Strand Avenue, and Golf Links Road and Riviera Drive South.

The signals will rest on green for through traffic on the busier streets at both intersections (Valley Street and Golf Links Road). Signals on the intersecting streets (Strand Avenue and Riviera Drive S) will rest on red, unless activated by motor vehicles.

Both intersections also include pedestrian-activated push buttons to assist with pedestrian crossings.

Motorists are requested to follow traffic signal rules and utilize caution during this initial commissioning period.
