January 26, 2018 - Over 30 nominees in 13 categories will be celebrated at the City of Thunder Bay's 8th annual Arts & Heritage Awards Ceremony, presented by Copperfin Credit Union. The nominees represent a wide spectrum of culture in Thunder Bay including lifetime achievement, visual art, music, theatre, literature, heritage, venues, events and supporters.

"The Thunder Bay Arts & Heritage Awards celebrate our dynamic cultural sector and the individuals and organizations that contribute to making Thunder Bay an inspiring place to live, work and play" said Ash Young, Cultural Development & Events Supervisor. "We are proud to support and congratulate all the nominees."

The awards will be presented at a gala ceremony at Magnus Theatre on Friday, February 23. The evening will be hosted by CBC's Lisa Laco and will include performances by Café Paris, Cambrian Players Improv Club, and a special finale featuring the World Dance Collective.

Tickets are $40 each and provide access to the Awards Ceremony, a Pre-Ceremony Reception at Magnus Theatre and the Arts & Heritage Awards After Party at Red Lion Smokehouse.  The After Party will feature exclusive performances by Arley Hughes and Greenbank as well as discounts for ticket holders.
