Starting Friday, July 24, the outside lane of Cumberland Street North, southbound over the Current River Bridge, will be closed to vehicle traffic to accommodate pedestrians walking the loop around Boulevard Lake.

This safety measure is undertaken due to increased foot traffic over the bridge during the current closure of the Boulevard Lake Dam Walkway. The closure of the lane to vehicle traffic and its availability to pedestrians will continue until the Boulevard Lake Dam Walkway is reopened, which is anticipated in fall of 2021.
