Due to recent rain and warm temperatures causing significant deterioration in ice conditions at outdoor rinks, all rinks, except for the refrigerated rink at Prince Arthur’s Landing, are now closed for the season.
“The recent warm weather has caused the ice surfaces to soften and given the additional above-zero temperatures forecasted for the foreseeable future, we have made the decision to close the rinks for the season,” said Cory Halvorsen, Manager, Parks & Open Spaces. “The refrigerated rink at Prince Arthur’s Landing will continue to open each day, but warm temperatures may cause the ice to degrade throughout the day and staff will close the rink if required.”
Signage will be placed on site when the Prince Arthur’s Landing rink is closed.
