City crews have been working hard to maintain as many outdoor rinks as possible for families and individuals to enjoy as the outdoor temperatures get warmer. As we enter the weekend into March Break many sites remain open. However, with much warmer temperatures in the forecast, this weekend may be the last chance to get out and enjoy them before the season ends.

“We know how important outdoor skating rinks are to the community, especially during the March Break,” said Cory Halvorsen, Manager – Parks & Open Spaces. “We are doing everything we can to keep as many rinks open as possible while ensuring safety and quality skating conditions.”

Prince Arthur’s Landing outdoor refrigerated skating rink will remain open throughout March, as it can withstand warmer conditions.

Residents are encouraged to check the City's Outdoor Rinks Map for real-time updates on rink closure status due to ice conditions. The interactive map makes it easy to find rinks in different neighbourhoods and provides useful details for each location, including the address, hours of operation, number of rinks on-site, and more.
