As work on the North Core Street Scape project progresses, the intersection of Park Avenue and Court Street has reopened to vehicle traffic.
East and westbound traffic can travel through the intersection on Park Avenue. Drivers will also be able to turn south onto Court Street from Park Avenue. With the reopening of the intersection, drivers should be aware that the section of Park Avenue between Court Street and Cumberland Street only permits one-way (eastbound-only) traffic.
The section of Court Street between Park Avenue and Red River Road, including the intersection of Court and Red River, remains closed.
While construction-related road closures can be frustrating, the temporary inconvenience will be outweighed by the long-term benefits the completed project will provide.
During the closure, local businesses in the area want to emphasize that they remain OPEN and look forward to serving their customers.
