River Street, from Madeline Street to High Street will undergo pavement resurfacing starting this week.

Work will be completed in stages. Stage 1 will allow only westbound traffic on River Street. Eastbound traffic will be detoured down Rockwood Avenue to Dawson Street, to High Street. Under the next stage, River Street will be fully closed to allow for final grading and paving operations.

Access to the businesses in the area will be provided on Madeline Street.

The work is expected to be substantially complete at the end of July. The construction schedule is subject to change as various factors, such as weather, can have an impact on project timelines.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area, if possible. Those travelling in the area are asked to use extra caution and obey all posted signage.
