As of 1 pm today, indoor visits at Pioneer Ridge are being reintroduced, and outdoor visits are continuing in the designated outdoor visiting area.

Prior to each visit, the visitor must pass an active screening questionnaire, either using an online pre-screening tool, or be screened by home staff onsite (*reminder to not come if experiencing any health symptoms).

“We are urging visitors to strongly consider their personal health and susceptibility to the virus in determining whether visiting a long-term care home is appropriate,” said Lee Mesic, Administrator, Pioneer Ridge. “Where it is not possible or advisable for in-person visits, we continue to provide window, outside and virtual visiting options at Pioneer Ridge. Over the last few months, the resident’s safety has been reliant on the actions of all of us and now more than ever, we must remain diligent and adhere to all precautions.”

Protocols are in place to maintain infection prevention and control standards prior to, during and after visits.

Visits will be scheduled providing equity for all residents by limiting the amount of visits to one internal or outdoor visit per resident per week. This does not include window or virtual visits that can be booked depending on resources available.
