Resident water bills are being mailed out as usual by the City of Thunder Bay’s Revenue Division. The rotating Canada Post strikes may however, cause some delays. Customers who are expecting a water bill and have not received it by the end of October should contact the Revenue Division at 625-2255 for billing amounts and payment due dates.

Citizens are encouraged to minimize the impact of postal disruptions by making use of the City’s online water meter reading and reminder service at www.thunderbay.ca/remindme. Residents can submit water meter readings, sign-up for reminders, or search an address to find important water billing dates.

All City bills are required to be paid on time to avoid penalty. Bill due dates will not change due to postal disruptions. Residents are reminded that payment by mail could experience delays resulting in missed deadlines. Using another method of payment is recommended.

Water bills can be paid by:

  • Internet banking
  • In-person at the bank
  • In-person at the Victoriaville Civic Centre Cashiers Office – 111 Syndicate Ave. S., open Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm

For any questions about how postal disruptions may impact City billing or payment, residents should contact the appropriate City department. Visit www.thunderbay.ca/directory for a listing of City department contacts.
