PUBLIC NOTICE

Notice to close a highway is given pursuant to the provisions of the Municipal Act, 2001 and the Corporation's Notice By-law. At its regular meeting on Monday, June 24, 2024, commencing at 6:30p.m., the City Council of Thunder Bay will consider passing a by-law to close each of the following highways:

1)      (A108) The City’s interest in the untravelled portion of Georgina Avenue at Gore Street West (north side) being Part of Georgina Avenue, Registered Plan W219, containing a site area of 470.92 m² (5068.94ft²) be closed and sold on the open market.

2)      (F105 The City’s interest in the untravelled portion of Walkover Street at Carl Avenue (south side) being Part of Walkover Street, Registered Plan M37 containing a site area of 626.45 m² (6743.05ft²) be closed and sold on the open market.

3)      (F100) The City’s interest in the untravelled portion of Sydney Street at Carl Avenue (south side) being Part of Sydney Street, Registered Plan M37 containing a site area of 623.87 m² (6715.28ft²), be closed and sold on the open market.

4)      (F104) The City’s interest in the untravelled portion of Windsor Street at Strand Avenue (south side), being Part of Windsor Street, Registered Plan 643 containing a site area of 736.18 m² (7,924.14ft²), be closed and sold on the open market.

5)      (F103) The City’s interest in the untravelled portion of Windsor Street at Carl Avenue (north side) being Part of Windsor Street, Registered Plan M37 containing a site area of 637.42 m² (6861.23ft²) be closed and sold on the open market.

6)      (F102) The City’s interest in the untravelled portion of Windsor Street at Dublin Avenue (south side) being part of Windsor Street, Registered Plan 643, containing a site area of 735.30 m² (7914.68ft²) be closed and sold on the open market.

7)      (F101) The City’s interest in the untravelled portion of Windsor Street at Dublin Avenue (north side) being Part of Windsor Street, Registered Plan 643 containing a site area of 735.30 m² (7914.68ft²) be closed and sold on the open market.

8)      (E98) The City’s interest in the untravelled portion of Bruce Street at Hull Avenue (north side) being Part of Bruce Street, Registered Plan M25, containing a site area of 314.88 m² (3389.38ft²) be closed and sold on the open market.

 A plan showing the location of the highways, together with a copy of the by-law, may be provided upon written request.
