Notice to close a highway is given pursuant to the provisions of the Municipal Act, 2001 and the Corporation's Notice By-law. At its regular meeting on Monday, October 28, 2024, commencing at 6:30p.m., the City Council of Thunder Bay will consider passing a by-law to close each of the following highways:

1)      The City’s interest in the untravelled portion of Corona Street at Hodder Avenue being part of Corona Street, Registered Plan M111, described as Parts 3 & 4 on Reference Plan 55R-15294 containing a site area of 1004 m2 (10,807ft2) be closed and sold on the open market.

2)      The City’s interest in the untravelled portion of Bruce Street at Minot Avenue being part of Bruce Street, Registered Plan M25 described as Part 2 on Reference Plan 55R-15253 containing a site area of 340 m2 (3,660ft2) be closed and sold on the open market.

3)      The City’s interest in the untravelled portion of Windsor Street at Dublin Avenue (north side) being Part of Windsor Street, Registered Plan 643 Parts 4, 5 and 6 on Reference Plan 55R-15252 containing a site area of 735.30 m² (7914.68ft²) be closed and sold on the open market.

 

A plan showing the location of the highways, together with a copy of the by-law, may be provided upon written request.
