Reconstructed traffic signals at Red River Road and Pine Street will be activated on Wednesday, Oct. 7, weather permitting. The stop sign on Pine Street will be removed.
The reconstructed signals feature camera detection of vehicles waiting to turn left from Pine Street onto Red River Road. The signals will rest on green for Red River Road traffic unless a vehicle is detected waiting on Pine Street. Push-button pedestrian signals are installed for pedestrians to cross Pine Street and Red River Road. The Red River Road crosswalk is on the east side only, and is accessible with a curb cut and tactile plates.
Motorists are asked to drive with caution during the reactivation and are advised that the signals may be temporarily placed in red flash mode during initial set up and timing.
