The City’s Engineering Division concluded its traffic study in the area of the proposed roundabout at Victoria Avenue and Ford Street. Based on the results of the study, a roundabout is not recommended.

The traffic study confirmed that traffic control signals are not warranted at the intersection of Victoria Avenue and Lillie Street. Engineering is recommending a new pedestrian crossover at the intersection of Victoria Avenue and Ford Street, and the removal of the traffic control signals at Victoria Avenue and Lillie Street as the preferred traffic control measures to manage both vehicle and pedestrian activity for the long-term.

There has been significant community interest in the changes to traffic control in this area.  A Corporate Report will be presented to City Council on Monday, May 6, 2019, outlining the results of the traffic study.
