Students and teachers from six Thunder Bay secondary schools presented their greening and beautification projects today to the City of Thunder Bay’s Clean, Green & Beautiful Committee at the Thunder Bay Art Gallery. Each high school received $1,000 through the 2017 – 2018 Green & Beautiful School Grant Program to take part in a “Green and Beautiful” project. They submitted proposals to the Committee with ideas from their school.
“Our mandate is to support projects that beautify our city and enhance civic pride,” said Councillor Rebecca Johnson – Clean, Green and Beautiful Committee Chair. “Through the leadership of the educators and hard work of the students, they have been able to use these grants to make a real difference in their school environment. We are thrilled with all they have been able to accomplish.”
