June 12, 2015 – Animal Services will be reducing pet adoption fees by over 50 per cent during Summer Lovin Adoption Special in an effort to increase the number of pet adoptions and minimize euthanasia when the shelter is at capacity. The event runs all week starting Monday, June 15 and through Saturday, June 20.
Interested residents can visit the Animal Services Centre from 11 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday and 12 to 4 pm on Saturday.
“There will be a variety of cats and dogs to see who are waiting for their forever families,” said Jody Kondrat, Supervisor of Animal Services. We want to encourage people to take a second look at the animals being offered here by reducing the fees to $50 for a cat and $100 for a dog.
Adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccinations, micro-chipping, deworming, parasite treatment and six weeks of complimentary pet insurance from PetSecure.
