EarthCare Thunder Bay invites the public to get involved and have their say on the Home Energy Improvement Loan Study. The City of Thunder Bay is exploring the feasibility of a home energy improvement program to provide access to financing for homeowners interested in improving the energy efficiency of their homes.
“Improving the energy efficiency of your home can reduce energy bills, make your home more comfortable, and contribute to the City’s goal of net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050,” said Summer Stevenson, Sustainability Coordinator for EarthCare Thunder Bay. “As one of the priority projects from the Thunder Bay Net-Zero Strategy, this initiative aims to support homeowners in undertaking home energy improvements.”
Residents are encouraged to complete the survey and register for a virtual information session to learn more about the benefits of home energy improvements.
The survey is available until May 15. Input collected from the survey will be used for a feasibility study on developing a potential home energy improvement program. Residents can sign up to join an information session on May 12 to share their input. To register and take part, visit: www.thunderbay.ca/GetInvolved.
