On Tuesday, Nov. 17, three new pedestrian crossovers open in the city at these locations:
- Pioneer Drive and Wyndale Street
- Court Street and McVicar Street
- Neebing Avenue and Mary Street
Crossovers make it safe, easy and convenient for people to cross the street. Motorists and cyclists must stop when the crossover lights are flashing and only continue once the pedestrian has safely crossed the road.
“We are pleased to have completed four pedestrian crossovers during the 2020 construction season with the first in September,” said Rick Harms, Project Engineer. “We now have 13 pedestrian crossovers in Thunder Bay.”
