November 28 -Training with a Pro: The Football Edition returns Saturday, Dec. 16 at the Lakehead University Hangar. The program offers two dry-land training clinics where youth between the ages of 5 and 13 are given the opportunity to train with a local professional football player, all in support of PRO Kids.

Thunder Bay's Nigel Romick of the Ottawa Redblacks and winner of the 2016 Grey Cup will be returning as the special guest this year. "I had a wonderful time meeting and training with the kids last year." said Romick. "I'm a lot more excited this year due to the amazing turnout in 2016 and by popular demand, it's back once again. I hope PRO Kids Football Edition continues to grow and gets bigger and better with every year."

Assisted by the Thunder Bay Minor Football Association, Nigel will partake in two two-hour clinics. Each clinic is age specific and participants will go through football drills and have the opportunity to meet and have a photo taken with Nigel.

"Since my days playing at St. Patrick's High School, it's astounding to see the growth of the football community in Thunder Bay" said Romick "I'm so fortunate to be able to train with the kids again this year. Being able to interact with them and seeing their faces not only when I have something to show them, but after they complete a drill is incredible. I am grateful to be a part of an organization like PRO Kids that gives recreational opportunities to children and youth in our city who are unable to participate in programs due to lack of funds."

Tbaytel has returned as the presenting sponsor for these clinics.

Registration cost is $50 per participant. The first clinic will run from 9 - 11 am for participants aged 5-9 years. The second clinic will run from 11 am to 1 pm for participants aged 10-13 years.

Additional clinic information is available through the Winter Key coming early December. Registration begins Thursday, Nov. 30. To register, call 625-8463.
