The City of Thunder Bay and Thunder Pride continue to work together for successful installation of the City’s first Pride Crosswalks.

Additional blocks of colour were added recently to the crosswalk at the intersection of Bay Street and Algoma Avenue, and more material will also be added to the Transgender Crosswalk.

“We continue to work with Thunder Pride to have a final product that reflects the vision of the community,” said Kayla Dixon, Director - Engineering & Operations Department.

Installation of the rainbow crosswalk at the intersection of Donald Street and May Street, and the work on the Transgender Crosswalk will begin once additional materials are received in approximately three weeks. 

Any impacts to traffic will be communicated at that time.
