Focus on our Junior golfers in 2025

  • Early season meet and greet - May 11th at 5pm - Chapples Driving Range, Free for all junior golfers of any skill level. Meet other kids and learn about junior golf. $80 to sign up for the Thunder Bay Junior Club. Register in the Spring through our online golf store.
  • Features junior club events during the season including two team events and individual events
  • Green Fee's for these events will be additional if a golf course membership is not purchased.

Open instruction clinic and information night - Sunday May 11th at Chapples driving range

1st event - Saturday May 31st, Chapples

2nd event - Saturday June 21st, Strathcona

3rd event - Tuesday July 8th, Chapples

4th event - Tuesday July 22nd Strathcona

5th event - Wednesday August 7th, Strathcona

6th event - Tuesday August 19th, Chapples

7th event - Jr/Sr Windup - Monday August 25th, Strathcona

Private golf instruction

David Reid, and Evan Degrazia Golf instructors at Chapples will be available to contact during the summer for any juniors looking to get some private golf instruction. Please talk to one of our friendly staff at the Chapples pro shop counter to put you in contact with our professionals.

Wee Links program

This is a one hour session each Monday night with options at 6pm or 6:30pm for kids 5-11. No experience necessary. Includes clubs and golf balls if your junior needs clubs and parent or friend participation is encouraged to make it a family night out. Visit the online store to purchase the program with limited participants at 20 per session. PGA golf professionals instructing, weekly prizes to excite the kids competitiveness, freezies after your practice session, overall fun experience. Sessions June 9, 26, 23, July 7, 14, 2025

School development program

If any elementary schools or high schools are interested in bringing a class to Chapples driving range and putting green, please contact Pat Berezowski 807-626-3122. Pat can assist you with the costs and set up to introduce the kids to the game of golf and a Sport for Life.
