The City of Thunder Bay’s Adopt-a-Road Program helps keep the City’s roadways free of litter. Under the program, you can “adopt” a specific section of road and pick up litter two or three times each year. We provide you with:
- Annual safety training session
- Traffic cones and flags
- Road work signs
- Waste and recycling collection bags
- Safety vests
- Gloves
We also set up a sign on the adopted road to acknowledge the efforts of the participating groups and individuals.
We need your help
Your family, school or group can participate in this successful and rewarding Adopt-a-Road program. It’s easy to sign up! We have several roads that still need adopting. Help us create a cleaner, greener and more beautiful City. Please view the following for more information:
