The Community Clean-Up Trailer supplies volunteers with the equipment necessary to clean and enhance a shared space. The goal of the Community Clean-Up Trailer is to provide Thunder Bay with an accessible and transportable resource to help keep our City Clean, Green, and Beautiful. The Trailer can be used to improve the cleanliness of our city, provide meaningful volunteer opportunities to the public, and increase civic pride.
Booking
Volunteer groups can request that the trailer be brought to a clean-up area of their choice for their use. The trailer is available for use on Mondays and Saturdays each week unless it is already scheduled out. Other days may be negotiated as needed.
Here is the process for using the Community Clean-Up Trailer:
- Request trailer booking by contacting cleanuptrailer@thunderbay.ca and we will contact you to confirm.
- A City of Thunder Bay staff member will tow the trailer to the clean-up area at the arranged date and time.
- Volunteers will have access to litter removal and cleaning supplies to undertake any clean-up project or host their own event.
- All waste/recycling/yard waste can be deposited in bags within the trailer.
- When the event is over, a City staff person will tow the trailer back to the Solid Waste & Recycling Facility (Landfill site) and empty it, free of charge.
