The Thunder Bay 55 Plus Centre is a well maintained, fully accessible multipurpose facility. It has ample accessible parking and is smoke, alcohol, and fragrance free. A number of rooms are available for rent when they are not being used for 55 Plus programs and services.
We offer a selection of room sizes to meet a variety of needs, including meetings, workshops, and seminars. Private parties and other special occasions, such as anniversaries and birthdays, may be booked here as well. The Centre may not be rented for religious purposes, celebrations of life or political campaigning.

We have included descriptions of the rooms available below:
Auditorium
The Auditorium seats:
- 120 with room for dancing
- 200 at tables without a dance floor
- 250 for a lecture
The Auditorium can be divided in two if needed for your function. The North Side can seat 140 lecture style or seat 60 with 15 card tables. The South Side can seat 110 lecture style or 40 with 10 card tables.
Birch Room
Board Room
The Board Room has comfortable chairs and a large oak table that make this room ideal for meetings of 14 people or less.
Craft Rooms
We have two Craft Rooms that will house up to 20 people with tables.
Meeting Room and Patio
The Meeting Room will seat 32 comfortably at card tables or seat 60 theatre-style. The Meeting Room has access to our outdoor patio for Summer barbecues. A folding wall can divide the room in two if needed.
Multipurpose Room
The Multipurpose Room is excellent for receptions or small gatherings and will seat 64 people comfortably at card tables. A beautiful vaulted wood ceiling and lots of windows create a warm and inviting atmosphere.
