Bundle up for a winter wonderland at this years SnowDay on the Waterfront! Join us at Marina Park on February 17, 2025 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm for a variety of fun, FREE winter activities!

SnowDay on the Waterfront 2025
SnowDay on the Waterfront returns this Family Day with a variety of winter activities for all ages! Our snow sculpture competition is back this year. Be sure to cast your vote for your favourite snow sculpture!
Programming includes:
- Ice fishing with the MNR and Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters with prizes donated by DNR
- Science of Snowy Sport with Science North
- Heritage hot chocolate and campfire with Parks Canada
- Try out the Crokicurl rink in the Festival Area
- Sugar shack with Club culturel francophone de Thunder Bay and Canada West Maple
- Snowshoeing
- Horse-drawn wagon rides
- Art activities with CAHEP
- Outdoor games
- Indoor warming station with crafts and games with Thunder Bay Museum, Boreal Museum, and Thunder Bay Art Gallery
- Outdoor warming stations with fire pit
- "Slider" the Scotties mascot will be stopping by to say hi!

Snow Sculpting WorkshopInterested in snow sculpting but don't know where to start? Register for our workshop where you will learn how to design and carve a snow sculpture while also making your own set of carving tools! Open to beginners, dabblers, hobbyists, and the simply curious! Ages 13+ This workshop is a collaboration between the City of Thunder Bay and Willow Springs Creative Centre. Space is limited
